YOGYAKARTA
(UNEXPECTED JOURNEY)
Unexpected thing could bring you something awesome to your life |
A late girl talk in my rent
house which is lived by 5 ladies. Suddenly said, “do you guys busy this
weekend?” one by one telling their schedulle and it’s a free time for all. Then
we decide to go to Jogja (yokyakarta) together and directly booking for train
tickets.
We book tickets from Pasar Senen
Station (Jakarta) to Lempunyangan Station (Yogyakarta) for Rp 220.000,- each
ticket even we could get a cheaper one. We booked the tickets 3 days before
departure and we started the journey to Jogja.
It spend almost 9 hours to
arrive in Lempuyangan Station. We reach that place in 15.00 WIB (local time).
First destination (Ny. Kamto)
Ny.
Kamto is a small pempek (Palembang
traditional food) restaurant which located in Jogja. Their open hour is from 10
am – 10 pm. The most favorite menu for as is pempek selam with Rp 13.000,- price per pieces. I am trying two
kind of pempek but the most delicious
one is pempek selam. Pempek selam is better than pempek kulit which made by fish skin and
flavour. It more delicious when we pour the special soup for pempek.
Before we visit the next
destination, we are a little bit confused to decide where we shoud stay for 3
days in Jogja. Then we walk here and there without nobody except the internet.
We can saw where we could stay in a cheap cost. We found a really cheaper one
but it needs 30 minutes walk.
We are sitting in the edge of
the road while found a good one but suddenly a group of musician approaching us
and asking for some money. That’s true. In Indonesia, a group of musician who
you found in the way or public transportation are really a trouble. They are
singing for a bit but asking much. They also hiding behind their skin full of
tatoes, any hanging things in their ears and their whatever hair style. It’s
more trouble in Jakarta. They usually asking for your coin in Metro Mini or a
kind of bus colored orange. Its more scary and you just give them your coin
because they are coming not for singing but only and just for your coin.
Imagine, without doing something, just talk and asking for you money. What an
annoying thing, right?
Finally, we decided a hotel but
when we arrived near the hotel, it so far from city. So, we ask Pak Kusir (a traditional transportation
in Jogja moved by horse) to drop us in his recommended hotel. Then we are okay
with his second recommendation.
We are coming to Jogja without
any destination plan. Fortune has come to us, one of my friend who studying in
Jogja offering me to drive us anywhere we want to go. It was accepted with a
pleasant. And that’s the end of February, 17 night.

Prambanan Temple
One big thing in Jogja is Prambanan Temple. This place is
great place to visit. The mith of this place was made by a man to a woman
because of love. The woman who rejected the man with honest said, ‘if you can
build me thousand temples and two deep wheel in one night then I will marry
you’. But, the man says yes and ask ghosts to help him. The woman who knows
that the building almost finished ask local girls to voice their traditional
rice grinder. The ghost heard the grinder voice and thought that the sun has
rised. Then, the last temple wasn’t finish which means the man has failed his
mission to get the woman.
Now, Prambanan already become a tourist destination and the
most famous place in Jogja. So, people says you are not coming to Jogja if you
are not visit this place yet or taking any picture. And here we go, my picture
in Prambanan Temple. FYI, I’ve waiting this moment for 10 years. I went to
Prambanan 10 years ago with my taekwondo group after competition, but I can’t
enter the temple for some reason from my coach.
Puncak Becici
What
is special thing here while you can see only pine trees? Yes, Puncak Becici is
a pine forest. But, the best thing for picturing yourself is this one.
You have to be careful to take
this picture.. you also need patient when you come here on the weekend because
everyone will make a line just to snap snap. Pine forest is a booming
recreation place in Jogja. Puncak Becici is one of another exist pine forest.

Kebun Buah Mangunan
After
so excited taking picture in Puncak Becici, we are lost of willing to take
another picture in Kebun Buah Mangunan. This place also offered an highness.
Before I came to this place, I thought I would found bunch of fruits but there
nothing there. You will only got fruits if you willing to and based in my
opinion, you better not to buy fruit in recreation place because it would cost
you more. Then what we do there is only a crazy thing. We do zumba with slogan
zumba everywhere. Hahaha
Everybody love zumba in my
renthouse. We always fill our freetime in the morning or afternoon with this
activities. We are maybe not an expert zumbaist yet. We still using youtube as
a resouce. It has bunch of zumba video that we can follow and so much time. We
did those things and almost remember full of the movement.
Pantai Kesirat
Last
destination in February 19 but the best place we went. It not like an usually
beach. It has no sand or swimming area. The best point of this beach is the
sunset. For sure, we passed the best sunset I ever seen in this place.
What we can do in this place are
taking pictures, see the sunset and camping.

Ketep Pass
We
can see Merbabu Mt. and Merapi Mt. from this place. People said it’s the best
view of those two mountains if there was no cloud. Unfortunatelly, we had no
chance to see them at them time with cloudy weather. The only uniq one is a
welcome dance from local people welcoming tourists. It’s a simple dance and
very Javanese. At the first time I see it, I thought it was Kuda Lumping Dance
because all of the dancer wear a black glasses.
Its same. Taking picture is a
must in every destination we have visited!
Bakso Kerikil Malang
It’s a long way to Malang
actually. It takes arround 3 hours and we arrived exactly in lunch time. Then
we agreed to eat Bakso Kerikil. This type of meatball made by the same ingredients
the different thing is only the shape. Bakso Kerikil shaped small than the
usual meatball.
Lawang Sewu
This place mean much. As an
Indonesian we can see it from the first time. Lawang also means door and Sewu
means a thousand. So, the meaning of Lawang Sewu is thousand doors. It true
that this place has a lot of doors. Its build since Ducth colonizing Indonesia.
Well, I’m not born yet at that time. Hehe. What I can give to you is only the
picture. J
It has a scary ground floor
which ever build to jail person. A lot of people also died in that place and
that’s the reason why this place more scary at night.

Tugu Jogja

O’clock in the morning doesn’t trouble us to taking picture in front of Jogja
monument.
We take the picture even with the last energy |
Shopping Time at Malioboro
Before
we left Jogja, the last one should be buy Oleh-oleh. Even just for our self. We
rent 2 Becak Motor for 5 people plus extra luggage :D…
We went to Bakpia store, Batik
store and stores along Malioboro street.
Train to Home
last, I would like to say thank you to all Yuni Kost Member who bring those happiness.
Thank you to my two friends who lived in Jogja, Sufi and unknown one (he wont me tell his name, keep it a secret he said) but I'll show you the picture of him HAHAHA
